A colt by Frankel (GB) is the new Tattersalls October Book 1 topper, after being knocked down to MV Magnier for 925,000gns. Lot 227 was preceded into the ring by a Galileo (Ire) filly that made 800,000gns on the bid of Alex Elliott.
The topper is a son of stakes winner and Grade III-placed Qushchi (GB) (Encosta de Lago {Aus}). Offered by Newsells Park Stud, the well-made bay is a half to G2 Glens Falls S. heroine Mrs Sippy (Blame), who also ran second in the GI Flower Bowl S. The Classic-placed European champion, dual Group 1 winner and sire Grand Lodge (Chief's Crown) is under the third dam.
Barronstown Stud consigned lot 226, a daughter of Quiet Oasis (Ire) (Oasis Dream (GB)). She is a full-sister to G3 Gladness S. hero and G2 Minstrel S. runner-up Lancaster House (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). This is the extended family of G1 Newmarket H. hero Zoutori (Aus) (Zoustar {Aus}) and also European champion and Group 1 sire New Approach (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}).
